A tactical, squad-based shooter is a variation on the shooter game. Here, a player not only controls a character as in a conventional shooter, but also issues commands to other characters in his or her party that may be controlled by the computer or by other players. Popular tactical, squad-based shooters include Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six.
