Resurrecting some old arcade classics, THQ's Sega Arcade Gallery for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) provides a compilation of four classic titles: After Burner, Outrun, Space Harrier and Super Hang On-all created by noted Sega game designer, Yu Suzuki and popular in the mid-eighties. The games indeed live again on the Game Boy Advance (GBA) and are still fun to play.
In After Burner, players hop into the cockpit of a Navy F-14XX to gun their way through wave after wave of oncoming bogeys. Outrun, the best game of the bunch, lets players get behind the wheel of a high-powered sports car and race against the clock on tracks around the globe. Space Harrier is a 3D shooter that has gamers blasting their way through enemies and saving dragons. Finally, Super Hang On offers powerful GP motorcycles. There's shooting and mayhem, but nothing very graphic in these games.
The GBA versions in Sega Arcade Gallery for Game Boy Advance look, sound and play as the originals did, with only a few minor changes. The only downside is that there is no high-score save feature. Older players who built their arcade chops on these games will have fun with them again. And youngsters can enjoy playing these games as well.
