Violence
A futuristic action game with two attractive and powerful women warriors sounds like something that would appeal to any male teen. But scratch a bit below the surface and simply play the game, and Konami's Cy Girls reveals itself as a disappointing action title that isn't all that much fun to play.
Cy Girls serves a duo of deadly ladies: Ice and Aska, who take on a branch of brutal cyber-terrorists. The gimmick is that gamers play as both characters in parallel story paths that come on separate discs. Aska is a Ninja who excels at hand-to-hand combat while Ice carries and uses (and uses) formidable firepower.
Despite the two characters with different abilities, the action becomes repetitive. And the tedious puzzles often involve the collection of numerous items and lots of backtracking. The graphics are decent, but the camera work is clumsy and often impedes the action. As you would expect, the game is all about killing and not much else.
As action games go, Cy Girls is barely adequate. There are better action games to play.
