Ubisoft's Myst IV Revelation carries on the mystique of the popular graphical adventure game that made a considerable mark on the PC. On the Xbox, the game loses a bit in the translation from the PC, but it's a compelling game to experience and play.

In the game, players journey into a world of mystery and beauty as they piece together the secrets of a shattered past. The game presents lots of clever puzzles and, as in the past, the game lets players roam free to discover its many environments and figure things out for themselves.

Players can capture clues by taking photographs of the environments, and keep track of their explorations in an in-game journal. The camera plays an important role in tracking clues and allows players to review details. The game also serves flashbacks that lend clues and a helpful zip mode that transports players from place to place.

The game serves incredible visuals that depict lush landscapes, and there are live-action cut scenes that help tell the story. A downside, load times between screens tend to be aggravating, particularly after playing awhile. Also, on the Xbox, console controls are inferior to using a mouse in the PC version.

Myst IV Revelation is a first rate game that will engage everyone. It's definitely worth the trip.
