Showcasing considerable talents beyond
music, Buena Vista's Paul McCartney -
Music & Animation Collection
offers three
whimsical animated shorts.

"Tropic Island Hum" is the least of the three segments and pretty much an extended musical production number with singing animals. "Tuesday," which is based on a children's book, tells the amazing story of frogs hovering and flying on enchanted lily pads and wreaking playful confusion. And "Rupert And The Frog Song," another segment that's based on a book, depicts a little bear's visit to a secret land of frogs and witnessing an amazing concert.

As you would expect, the music at the foundation of each segment is solid, and the animation is excellent. The segments depict wholesome flights of fancy that are appropriate for everyone in the family. The DVD also offers an interview with Paul McCartney, and a surprisingly thorough "making of," segment that will appeal to animation enthusiasts.

With positive themes, great music and first -rate animation, we highly recommend Paul McCartney - Music & Animation Collection.
