In 1934, a bit character in "The Wise Little Hen"
stole the show and quickly became the most
popular Disney character of his era. The famous
and irascible Donald Duck stars in Disney's
Walt Disney Treasures: The Chronological
Donald, Volume One.

This two-disc DVD features 36 of Donald's hilarious shorts from "Donald And Pluto" in 1936 to "Chef Donald" in 1941. As they were over fifty years ago, the Donald shorts remain funny and entertaining. If you're interested in the war-era Donald shorts, you'll have to refer to Walt Disney Treasures: On The Front Lines, another DVD set that was released with this one. And the "Volume One" in this DVD set indicates that there are probably more Donald DVDs to come at a later date.

Extras include a publicity and memorabilia gallery, story and background artwork and a tribute to Clarence "Ducky" Nash, the man who made Donald talk for some 50 years. Compared against earlier Walt Disney Treasures DVD sets, this set contains relatively few extras, but the cartoon shorts still make the collection worthwhile. It's a fantastic DVD set that will entertain the entire family and appeal to Disney collectors.
