As most can tell you, Cinderella's Fairy Godmother waves her hand and sings "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo," and an ordinary pumpkin turns into a magnificent coach while Cinderella's rags into a gorgeous gown. Cinderella is off to the Royal Ball, but the magical spell breaks at midnight and she accidently leaves behind her glass slipper.
When the prince searches for the slipper's owner, it's Cinderella's animal friends who help her to show that she's the true owner. The music, which includes such songs as "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" and "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes," are memorable, as are the cute animal characters and the evil, menacing stepmother.
The home viewing experience has never been better. The digital restoration is downright stunning and the two-DVD set is packed with extras that include deleted scenes; different concepts for the film; a "Making of" mini-documentary; and a tribute to the animators, Disney's "Nine Old Men. There are some old-time gems here. There are also entertaining activities for the kids, the usual assortment of music videos and more.
Cinderella is a product of its time, but it's still a classic that can be enjoyed by everyone in the family. This DVD set is a must have for Disney fans.
