HP Expands Consumer Offerings

With the HP PSC 1350 all-in-one, users should be able to produce prints with exceptional fade resistance and true-to-life photo quality with up to six-ink color printing or up to 4,800-optimized dots per inch (dpi). Users also can produce borderless 4 x 6-inch photo prints on HP Premium Plus Photo paper.
When productivity is important, fast print speeds should allow consumers to print up to 17 pages per minute (ppm) in black and up to 12 ppm in color. For additional flexibility, consumers also can use the flatbed scanner to quickly scan and copy photos, documents and books with up to 600 x 2,400-dpi optical resolution and up to 36-bit color.
Additionally, the HP PSC 1350 all-in-one is able to make automatic photo enhancements to improve copies from poor-quality documents or photo originals. Consumers looking to exercise some creativity can use the included software to zoom in or automatically resize an image to a favorite photo size.
The HP PSC 1350 all-in-one is planned to begin shipping in early October and sell for an estimated U.S. street price of $149.
Convert
to Digital
As consumers continue to make the transition from traditional to digital photography,
there is a growing demand to convert traditionally processed photos to digital
format. The HP Scanjet 5530 Photosmart scanner promises to simplify the scanning
process by allowing consumers to convert a stack of up to 24 traditional photos.
With the touch of a button, 24 photos can be scanned in less than five minutes using the automatic photo feeder located on the lid of the scanner. The scanner offers consumers up to 2,400 x 4,800-dpi optical resolution and 48-bit color.
The HP Scanjet 5530 Photosmart scanner also includes a transparent materials adapter, which allows users to capture scans from negatives and slides. The adapter can accommodate up to four negatives or up to three slides per scan. In addition to scanning photos, negatives and slides, the scanner can scan documents and three-dimensional objects.
Six one-touch buttons on the scanner provide quick and easy access to tasks such as scanning, copying, e-mailing via HP Instant Share technology and HP Memories Disc Creator. Additionally, users can restore faded photos with one-touch automatic photo-correction.
The HP Scanjet 5530 Photosmart is expected to begin shipping in early October and sell for an estimated U.S. street price of $229.

Compact
Flatbed/All-in-one
The HP PSC 1350 all-in-one printer/scanner/copier is designed to provide a
convenient solution for a variety of digital imaging needs. Its compact, sleek,

The HP PSC 1350 all-in-one includes a variety of digital camera memory card slots that support Sony Memory Stick, Compact Flash, Secure Digital, Multimedia, XD picture card and SmartMedia memory cards. By pressing the "proof sheet" button on the unit's front panel, a proof sheet with thumbnails of the saved images is produced. Users can then select the desired photo, size or album layout by filling in the appropriate bubbles with a dark pen and scan the proof sheet to print the selected photos.
In addition to HP Image Zone software, all HP Pavilion a300 series desktop PCs include a complimentary 60-day subscription to protection updates from Symantec's Norton Antivirus and Norton Personal Firewall software. The HP Pavilion line also features interMute SpamSubtract Basic, which is designed to block offensive graphics and text e-mail messages, and a 30-day trial version of interMute SpySubtract PRO, a PC security solution that detects and removes spyware programs that can monitor users' computer activities.
The estimated U.S. street prices for pre-configured HP Pavilion a300 models run between $499 and $1,079. Prices of configure-to-order PCs will vary based upon customer specification.
Select models of the HP Pavilion a300 series are expected to be available beginning Oct. 5. All HP PCs come with a one-year limited hardware warranty and 24 hours a day, seven days a week online or phone support with toll-free number.
